Merry Christmas Everyone

2021 Prize giving

Prize giving was so exciting. I liked how the students were so surprised

when their name was called out. I was shocked when I got 

called as a prefect for next year. Some of the audience clapped

joyfully and some didn't because they wanted an award.

I was delighted when I got awarded for the new leadership

award - I also even got a trophy. I am looking forward to be a good

role model to the little kids as a prefect next year.

NASA Edition Colouring

 It was fun colouring this ship because there were different colours to add to it.

What was hard about it was you couldn't get the exact colour to colour it.

Baking Cakes

 Last week our class done baking. Baking is cooking something sweet.

We baked a lolly cake and a apple cake. What you need for the apple cake was basically apples also

what you need for the lolly cake was basically lollies. It was fun baking because we worked together baking

 it as a team . Some of my class baked and some of my class didn't because they had learning to do.  

The apple cake was my favourite because the lolly cake was to sweet.

Learning Log Wk 5

What am I grateful for? How am I feeling today?

I am grateful for having a chrome book and stationery from the school to work on my learning. I am also really excited to go back to school and being able to see my friends from a distance. It will be weird when I wake up early in the morning because if there was no school we would be waking up around 9:00 and our school usually starts at 8:55 for our learning.

I am feeling great to start on my learning with others in my class.

What are my goals today? 

My goals today are to help other people with their learning, and to also throw out ideas that my classmates could use.

Pancakes Friday

Renei, my teacher and I made  pancakes on our live class call. My pancakes didn't exactly go the way I wanted it to. The first one just tasted raw. I think I wasn't cooked properly. It was still a lot of fun - I didn't get any pancakes to eat but I had some breakfast. 

 

Reading Task Today

 

  Today I have learned how to find the main meaning of  certain words by finding clues in the sentence. It is like my context but you can make your own sentence with the word your trying to find out the definition. I                                        had help from my teacher and I succeeded in all of my words. 

                                                                        

Cybersmart Challenge

 

I liked doing this cybersmart challenge because it helps you in the future to identify

if this email is legit or fake.What we need to do is to try identify if this is a 

scam.My class and also teacher has done this together.We had some arguments

if this was good to be true or was it actually true.I hope everyone is prepared for

the next email.Good Luck!

My Whakatauki

 

This is my whakatauki which means a Maori Proverb. What we had to do was try to look for a Maori proverb and describe what the literal meaning was to it and what it means personally to you. We also had to decorate it with images and the background to make it look colourful. I liked my friend Willies Whakatauki because it also reminds me of my family in Australia and Samoa. D.J Home Learning For Maths

 

This is all my maths learning of what I did and also what maths class session I attended in. 

I learned a lot of things with other of my classmates. My maths teacher suggested if we don't have a Chromebook it would be good if we had a work book so we can spend a little time of doing some leaning on the work book.  

Cybersmart Challenge 22

 

This week's Cybersmart Challenge was about empowerment, which is the "authority or power given to someone to do something". 

We should follow these instructions when we are commenting on others blog.

Something important I learned from this challenge is when a certain classmate has commented something not positive or helpful it will be wonderful if you told trusted adults about the comment.

This is what my work looked like when I was finished.I had a little

help from canva.com. I really enjoy doing cyber smart challenges 

and I hope others do too.

Tongan Language Week

I learnt some actually cool stuff in my online meeting about Tongan language week. Did you know that there are 170 islands in Tonga,amazing right.Even though I am not Tongan I still came first in kahoot maybe it's because I have a best friend that is Tongan. Even though it is lock down I think its still best we celebrate the beautiful culture Tonga by having a feed in your own home or wearing traditional clothing and blog about it.That are some ideas that you can do on Tongan language week. Remember Tongan language week is on the 11th of September on a Saturday.

This right here tells us about the currency of countries,how hard they work and how much money they get by working but that's not how you survive by getting money that's what I learned from my maths teacher.The real way of living longer is education,school.That's amazing right.
