This weeks task is to write about someone close to you. My one was about my grandads hands,why I did it is because my grandad passed away last year but I didn't get to write about him.
My grandads hands by D.J
My grandad's hands
are wrinkly lines racing up his body;
his back,is a bony line up his neck;
his legs,won't be able to move for long.
His laugh is soft and pale;
his breath,is like fire because he would always eat mint.
Sleeping
quietly on his dusty,old chair,
my grandad
is watching over us in heaven.

Hi DJ
ReplyDeleteI love the effort and personalisation you put into your descriptions, especially that simile about the mint. I'm sure your family would be proud to read this - you should share it with them.
Mr N
Kia Ora DJ,
ReplyDeleteThat was a really nice poem you have written. I like the 3rd line best as it is a great description of an older persons neck.
I also like how you have added in a picture of your Grandad too. Is that you with him?
I always love when my Gran takes me out to a cafe to have something to eat.
